Hello Everybody, check out the new items that I recently updated!! They are really cool, I am getting a great response from the public. Also check out our lowest prices! Thats right... I decided to reduce all my prices. The sale section has new stuff too, and there are a couple of cool articles that I posted, one about the life of Coco Chanel and another one about make up.

Also I am working on a new project, I am sure you have all seen them around, some call them "scrabble" pendants or picture pendants. Ok so here is the deal... I am not making "scrable" pendants because I didnt want my pendant to have wood on the back so I ordered some metal blanks that seem to be very nice. So I am really looking foward to start making those. Anyways people gotta go... tomorrow I have a long day at work and class at night... so I should go to sleep now if not I am going to be very tired tomorrow...

Fall Trends!

All women want to know what is going to be “in” for the next season. They want to start preparing their closets to look as fabulous as possible. Well Ladies, be exited because lots of things are making a “comeback” for the next season. It is all about reviving the old Hollywood glamour. So maybe you want to go to the basement to look for some vintage clothes that you may have kept from grandma. This season, it is all about vintage.
Many designers like Channel and Ives Saint Lauren, revived the concept from the 1940’s of accentuating curves. They focused on having very well sculptured pieces that focus on the waist area, accentuating the curves of the female body. This is a great trend for regular women, because these pieces accentuate their curves.

Carolina Herrera and Michel Kors showed layers of tweed and fur. This shows that the tweed from the 1960’s is back!

Another place where designers seemed to be getting inspiration from, were the 1920’s. Diane von Furstenberg, Baby Phat and Monique Lhuilier all showed some sort of flapper inspired dress in their collection.
The 50’s are also making a comeback. Kitten Heels, length knee silk shifts, cashmere coats and pastel coats are all back on the collections showed by Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg and Peter Som.

Designers like Charlotte Ronson and Thakoon Panichgul used crisscross patterns, accentuating them with watercolor washes and punk accessories.

Bows are definitely in. They can be pretty much located anywhere in your outfit. The size varies from tiny to huge. Instead of wearing a necklace try wearing a bow instead. This can give your outfit that extra touch that just makes it more interesting. Another item that was seen accentuating outfits were either ruffles or rosettes. Shirts with ruffles are totally “in” this season.

Knits are a must this fall. After all, you do have to keep yourself warm. Sculptural and oversize knits are replacing in some cases the classic wool coat. If you are wondering what you should wear to a cocktail, wedding or important event then you need to know that the gowns for this season are more conservative and proper. There are many one shoulder designs out there, like the ones by Sari Gueron and Tracy Reese. The gowns seem to revive the old Hollywood glamour

Lets talk about shoes baby…
Want to know what shoes to buy for this upcoming season? This is what’s “in” for fall 2008, but beware some of these styles are going to leave you wonder… how the hell did this ever made it to this list? You can’t blame it on me… blame it on the designers.
Bunion Heels:
I am going to state that these things are crazy. If you are tall do not even bother in wearing them you can fall and injure yourself. If you are short and are thinking of buying a pair I would urge you to think again. I think this type of heel looks more like a hooker heel than anything else. Also, the posture that the person has while using these is unnatural and cant be good for your back. Just keep using your regular platform if you do not want your health to suffer.
Cap-Toe Heels:
These are retro inspired shoes from the 40’s. They look great with pretty much everything. They are very feminine and should be worn with the appropriate hosiery. Now I believe this is a worthy comeback!
Ankle Boots
This type of shoe works great with jeans. The only way you can wear this with a skirt or long tunic is if you wear opaque tights to match the color of the shoe. Wearing them with a dress or tunic without tights is a complete NO!. Seriously some people think that it is fashionable, but it isn’t. It just shows that you have bad taste.

T-Strap Sandals
Wear them with everything from a suit to that great dress that you love. Just make sure they match with your outfit.

Tall Cuffed Boots
Wear them with skirts, but remember that it is better if the length of the skirt is shorter than where the boot ends. Boots with a cuff are bulky so they do not look good when the skirt falls over them It just looks weird. If you wear them with jeans always remember to wear them with your jeans tucked inside the boot for a better look. Inside as mentioned before because of the bulk they will look weird.
Riding Boots
I love these! Wear them with your jeans tucked in (skinny jeans) and they will look great.
Oxford Booties
Its hard to believe that the Oxford Booties are back, but they are indeed! They remind me of Mary Poppins for some reason. You can wear them with skirts, dresses and jeans as long as tights, or some similar element is used. The rules are pretty much the same as the ankle boots.

Banded Flats
Heels.. heels and more heels. This is the comfy alternative. It is the non-heel alternative inspired by ballerina shoes for this season. They come in every color and pattern. There are ones made out of satin that are simply gorgeous. The good thing is that you can wear this with anything in your closet from jeans to skirts and dresses. These look great with skinny jeans!

Hello Everyone... I am setting up my etsy store... it is a lot of work cause I have to readjust pics etc but so far it has been great, I have been getting a lot of positive feedback from other sellers, clients etc...

I also created an account at indiepublic.com so I can connect with other artists...

So far the work seems to be paying off... my website is getting more traffic... more feedback.. and I love it!
